Welcome to SSLScope. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our SSL certificate monitoring software ("Service") and website. By using our Service or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Definitions

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

  1. Download, install, and use the Service on a single installation for the term of your subscription.
  2. Configure the Service to monitor an unlimited number of domains for SSL certificate expiration.

4. License Restrictions

You may not:

  1. Copy or duplicate the Service except as permitted by these Terms.
  2. Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Service.
  3. Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the Service.
  4. Use the Service on more than one installation without purchasing additional licenses.
  5. Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense, or provide commercial hosting services with the Service.
  6. Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Payment and Subscription

The Service is provided on a subscription basis for the period specified during purchase (typically one year). Payment must be made in advance through our authorized payment processor.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Refund Policy. When your subscription expires, the Service will cease to function until renewed.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, but such changes will not affect your current subscription during its term.

6. Updates and Support

During the term of your subscription:

  1. You are entitled to receive updates to the Service.
  2. We will provide reasonable technical support via email.
  3. We do not guarantee support for outdated versions of the Service.

Updates may be provided automatically or through manual download at our discretion.

7. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  3. Maintaining the security of your license key and preventing unauthorized access.
  4. Configuring the Service correctly for your needs.
  5. Taking appropriate action in response to expiration notifications.

The Service and its content, features, and functionality are owned by SSLScope and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. No advice or information obtained from us shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  1. Your use or inability to use the Service;
  2. Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;
  3. Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service;
  4. Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service;
  5. Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Service.

IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Term and Termination

These Terms will remain in effect until your subscription expires or is terminated.

We may terminate or suspend your license and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website. By continuing to use the Service after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
